Twenty-one nationalities have contributed to that number with Indians talking the lead with 45 goals through 20 players. Mumbai City FC’s Sunil Chhetri is the top Indian goal-scorer with seven goals while Jeje Lalpekhlua and Arata Izumi have scored five goals each for Chennaiyin FC and Atlético de Kolkata respectively. Mohammed Rafi scored four goals for Kerala Blasters FC while Delhi Dynamos FC’s Robin Singh, FC Goa’s Thongkhosiem Haokip and Mandar Rao Dessai chipped in with three goals each. Eugeneson Lyngdoh (FC Pune City) and Romeo Fernandes (FC Goa) have scored two apiece.Behind Indians are nine Brazilians who have put together 23 goals. FC Goa’s Reinaldo heads with seven goals, including a hat-trick. Last season’s top-scorer Elano has scored four goals. Not far are Delhi Dynamos FC’s Gustavo dos Santos and FC Goa’s Jonatan Lucca who have hit the back of the net three times each.Five English players are next in the list with 18 goals. Kerala Blasters FC’s Chris Dagnall and Antonio German have scored six goals each in thirteen and nine games respectively. Delhi Dynamos FC’s Adil Nabi and Kerala Blasters FC’s Sanchez Watt account for three and two goals respectively.Colombia feature next in the list through only one player, Chennaiyin FC’s Stiven Mendoza who is also the highest scorer with 11 goals. The 23-year-old hitman scored two hat-tricks in the process. Canada’s only representation, Atlético de Kolkata’s Iain Hume accounts for 10 goals and he has also scored two hat-tricks.France’s nine goals came courtesy of NorthEast United FC’s Diomansy Kamara (3), Mumbai City FC’s Frederic Piquionne (3), Chennaiyin FC’s Bernard Mendy (2) and FC Goa’s Gregory Arnolin (1).The Spanish contingent has also accounted for nine goals with Joffre taking the lead with two goals. Valdo, Victor Pulga, Javi Lara, Borja Fernandez, Bruno Arias, Juan Aguilera and Josu account for the rest.The Portuguese account for seven goals with Simao scoring the maximum (3). Helder Postiga, in his only match of the league stage, scored two. Joao Coimbra, Silas scored one each. The Nigerians too have seven goals to their name, thanks to three goals from Dudu (FC Goa) and four from Kalu Uche (FC Pune City)Nicolas Velez of NorthEast United FC scored all five goals and kept the flag flying for Italy. Ghana also contributed five goals through Richard Gadze of Delhi Dynamos FC (4) and Francis Dadzie of NorthEast United FC (1).Adrian Mutu scored four goals to keep Romania just behind Italy and Ghana. Haiti also chipped in with four goals through Mumbai City FC’s Sony Norde (3) and Frantz Bertin (1).
