Thierry Henry got his first taste of action in the Hero Indian Super League after he witnessing Mumbai City FC beat Atlético de Kolkata 1-0 at the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium in Kolkata on Tuesday. The Arsenal and France legend admitted he was pleasantly surprised at what he’d seen in Kolkata and took part in a Facebook Live Q&A on Wednesday to answer some questions from fans. Here are some of the best answers from the talisman in Arsene Wenger’s invincibles side that went the entire Premier League season undefeated in 2003/04 – an unparalleled achievement. How did the invincibles keep themselves motivated during that run? How did you pick yourselves up after it ended? It was pretty easy at the beginning because we weren’t the champions yet. But once we became champions it was quite difficult to finish the season unbeaten. Thankfully we did it and it would have been a massive mistake if we hadn’t. But that’s exactly why it makes it difficult to remain focused because you want to win the league. Then to think how great it would have been to stay unbeaten at the time and we went over the line in those games towards the end of the season where we were already champions we were pretty boring. Somehow we managed to stay unbeaten. That was the only moment we struggled. So, the boss had to keep our focus. The players too were having a go at each other to ensure we were going to stay unbeaten and we did. What is your view on Indian football? And would you like to manage in ISL?Yesterday was my first ever game that I saw live so it is difficult to judge the whole league. I think it was good enough. It was good to see Diego Forlan what he does best: that is scoring a goal. They also explained it to me that the situation here is different. What's your opinion about ISL as compare to La Liga, PL and other European leagues? It is a bit unfair to make comparison. You can’t compare with the amount of years the other leagues have been there.Against which defender or goalkeeper did you find it difficult to play?Well, after every single game that I didn’t play well I never gave credit to the goalkeepers of defenders, not to disrespect them but because I is to say to myself if I did what I was supposed to do and trained a bit harder to be able to do what I was supposed to do then I would have succeeded. That was my way of taking things on me to ensure I was going to work hard.Which current Arsenal player do you think is the key for Arsenal to win the PL?I think we can always mention about the usual players. I think we need Alexis Sanchez to play very well also players like Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla need to be around. [Laurent] Koscielny has to be the rock at the back and Petr Cech will need to make some good saves. But ultimately I think everyone has to step up, everyone has to play well every single weekend in the league in order to win the league. That is how you can win the championship. Then the guys I mentioned before can make the difference. But everyone that plays needs to play well in order to win the league. So, I will put it in a way that Arsenal needs to play well.Do you watch cricket, if so who is your favorite cricketer?I don’t watch cricket, so it’s difficult to pick a favorite cricket player. I am from the West Indies actually, my roots are French-West Indies. When you are born there you are automatically French. I was born in France but my family is from there. We are the only island in the West Indies that doesn’t play cricket. So I haven’t grown up in that cricket buzz like you have here. So no I don’t follow cricket. How is your coaching stint going? So far so good. Learning the process still in great environments at the moment. But it has been an eye opener for me being a professional on how different it is for me to see the game on our side.Is Arsenal coaching up on the cards anytime soon?I don’t know. I don’t know what’s going to happen next. As I said step by step trying to be a manager is one of my main concerns right now. Then whatever will come my way I will have to asses and see.Quality of football on display in the Hero ISL?As I said after one game its difficult talking about the level and all. All I know is from David Trezeguet, Robert Pires and Nicolas Anelka, all the players that came here. Yesterday I also spoke to some of the coaches that have been here in the past as well as in the present. I am surprised because like I said I didn’t know. I know you guys like your cricket so I said to myself maybe couple of the fans must be watching maybe the EPL, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 in France or the Bundesliga, so they might know but I was surprised in a good way.
