Mumbai City FC beat Atlético de Kolkata 3-2 in their 2015 Hero Indian Super League match at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on Friday to end their campaign on a high. It was a game decided by a late strike from Mumbai’s Haitian winger Sony Norde. Norde scored a brace on the night and ended Season 2 with three goals and three assists to his name. The 26-year-old, who has been one of Mumbai’s most creative players all season, spoke to indiansuperleague.com shortly after the game and shared his thoughts on the game and Mumbai’s Hero ISL Season 2 journey. Here are the excerpts from the interview.Arrived here with zero practice before the game. Are you happy with the result?Yeah, very happy because we wanted to play this game. We wanted to give everything on the pitch because we know we didn’t want to stay last on the table so we gave our best and we played good football today, so everybody is happy but we didn’t want this result (exiting the league) but this is part of the game so we will have to accept it.What do you think went wrong for Mumbai this season?I think we have a big team and good quality players. We have a good coach but you know sometimes this happens. We know we have a good team but you know this is football. Two goals in the match, are you happy with your own performance?Yeah, because scoring two goals is not easy but I’m also very happy for my team-mates and for my partners."I enjoy playing for Mumbai, the people, my partners, my staff, everybody and Mumbai’s a very good city."Sony NordeAre you looking forward to next season?I don’t know. As of now, I will go back to my country and spend some nice time with my family and then we will see.Would you like to be back next season?Yeah, sure. I enjoy playing for Mumbai, the people, my partners, my staff, everybody and Mumbai’s a very good city. The management, the facility and everything is good.
