Delhi Dynamos FC succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Kerala Blasters FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18 on Saturday. The visitors took the lead thanks to a successful penalty by their skipper Kalu Uche in the opening period of the encounter. Two goals from Kerala in the second half – first from Deependra Negi and then an Iain Hume penalty – ensured maximum points for the southerners. Speaking to indiansuperleague.com shortly after the final whistle was Delhi’s Seityasen Singh, who was brought down in the penalty box and earned his side their penalty. Here are the excerpts from the interview.

Thoughts on the match?

Very disappointing moment. We needed the three points and it is a very sad moment because we lost but in the next game we’ll come back as we need points.

How is the team morale in the dressing room after the match?

Yes, as you know we were leading and we motivated each other but after the second half we lost 2-1… and this is the game. So, it happens.

How difficult is it to play with the fan noise and this atmosphere?

Yeah, Kerala Blasters fans are always noisy, and I am happy to see them.

Plans for the rest of the season?

In the next match, we’ll come back strong and get the three points.
