Mumbai City FC play their first home game of the 2016 Hero Indian Super League against NorthEast United FC at the Mumbai Football Arena on Friday. It will be Mumbai’s first home game at their new stadium for the third edition of the Hero ISL, and Alexandre Guimaraes’ men will be looking to mark the occasion with a positive result after a 1-0 win against FC Pune City on Monday. They come up against a NorthEast United FC side high on confidence having taken maximum points from their first two matches of the season. Midfielder Sehnaj Singh, who played for Delhi Dynamos FC last year and completed the full 90 minutes against the Stallions in his side’s season opener, spoke to indiansuperleague.com ahead of Friday’s encounter against NorthEast. Here are the excerpts from the interview. What do you expect from your team in the second game?Whenever you are starting a tournament it is crucial to win the first game. [With that done], what I now expect is improvement. As we play more and more games, we should keep improving. This is going to be your first game in front of your home fans. How are you feeling? It feels great. We need three points at any cost and we want our fans to come and support us.You will be playing against a team which has won their first two games. Considering their form, how are you preparing to deal with them?NorthEast United are a good side and they won their first two matches. They have good players, so we don’t have any specific plans. We will focus on ourselves and stick to our game plan. How does it feel having an experienced player like Diego Forlan in your squad? It feels great as on the field he is always motivating us and off the field also he guides us, and helps us improve our mistakes.
