Mohammed Rafi managed just one shot at goal during Kerala Blasters FC’s 2-0 loss against Delhi Dynamos FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Friday. Kean Lewis broke the deadlock 11 minutes after the break and Marcelinho added a second for the Lions five minutes later. Rafi, who netted his first goal of Hero Indian Super League 2016 against FC Goa in the Blasters’ 2-1 win over the Gaurs earlier in the season, completed one key pass and attempted three crosses in the game. The 34-year-old spoke to indiansuperleague.com after the match and shared his thoughts. Here are the excerpts from the interview. The match didn’t go according to plan as you would have expected, so what are your thoughts? It’s unfortunate that we lost today but we will work harder for the next game and try to win it.What do you think went wrong today?I think the team did well in the first half, and in the second half we conceded fast. That led to our morale going down but we still tried our best. Like I said earlier, now we will try and win the upcoming games. On Delhi as a team, what are your thoughts?I think they are a good team who are defensive but even attack well. They had the home advantage and they did well to win. What are your thoughts on Steve Coppell as head coach? He is very good and encourages us. Now we have lost three games, drawn three and won two, so now we want to do well in the remaining games and will concentrate well. Are you looking forward to playing in Kochi?Yes, I am looking forward to it.
