A struggling Delhi Dynamos FC welcome a rampant FC Goa side at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on Saturday. The hosts are presently sitting second from the bottom and need a solid strategy up their sleeve to thwart Goa’s attacking prowess. On the eve of the weekend battle, indiansuperleague.com caught up with the Delhi’s right-back Pritam Kotal to get to know his views about the new season and some personal favourites. Here are the excerpts.
Have you witnessed any change in the level of play in Hero ISL?
This year we have a more populated league. This time each team has only one match per week so it is good for the player to rest and get back to a good condition. The players are also of very good quality this year.
How are you adjusting to Miguel Angel Portugal’s style of play?
He is a very good coach. His philosophy is to always keep the ball and to go forward in attack. We hope we get a win in our next match.
Has there been any changes since the first match?
No, it has just been bad now. But we have to keep going and keep improving ourselves.
What do you think about Ferran Corominas and his performances for FC Goa?
We are prepared for it. We know Coro is a very good player but we don’t think about him too much.
Which is your favourite international club and why?
My favourite club is Arsenal and my favourite player is Dani Alves. I like Alves because I am also a right-back.
