Delhi Dynamos FC succumbed to a 3 – 2 setback at the hands of Jamshedpur FC in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur on Sunday. The Lions took a quick 2 – 0 lead thanks to a brace from Kalu Uche, but were undone by strikes from Tiri, Yumnam Raju and Trindade Goncalves. The Lions’ skipper spoke to indiansuperleague.com post-match, where he shared his thoughts regarding the game. Here are the excerpts from the interview.

What are your thoughts on the match?

Honestly, I’m so sad that we lost the game. We had a better start and were leading 2-0 and at the end of the day, we lost the game. It’s so sad honestly, and we’re just going back. We’re going home and it’s a bit sad.

How do you assess your own performance?

Well, I am happy with our performance. Scoring two goals and it’s really good for me, for my goal-scoring ability and I am happy with my performance today. Also, I want to thank the team because they helped me. And it’s not only me, I want to take the opportunity to thank the team for their performance and it’s sad that we lost the game at the end of the day. I wish, we could end the game the way we started it but in football, so many things happen in 90 minutes, so that is it.

What do you make of Jamshedpur FC’s attack?

They’re a very good team and they showed it out there and they never gave up throughout the 90 minutes. Even when they were losing 2-0, they kept fighting and fighting until the last minute. So, I have to use this opportunity to congratulate them on their win and their hard work and their good work. So that is it. They showed it out there and I wish them luck.

Finally, what do you think about the upcoming games?

We just have to forget about what happened today and think about the next game. Today’s game is past and we don’t have to keep dwelling on it. Just forget about it and think about the next one. The next one is more important; we must focus on it, prepare for it and go for it.
