Iain Hume scored a dramatic late equaliser in the final minute of normal time as Atlético de Kolkata drew 1-1 with NorthEast United FC in their Hero Indian Super League 2016 encounter at the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium in Kolkata on Thursday. ATK fell behind to a Nicolas Velez strike in the fifth minute before equalising through the Canadian striker in the dying minutes of the game. Hume is now the joint top-scorer in the league this season with five goals. He spoke to indiansuperleague.com shortly after the final whistle. Here are the excerpts from the interview.Pretty important point late on in the match. Do you think you could have won it?I think by far they were the better team in the first half and in the second half we had them up against it. It might be a bit unfair to them but a draw was a fair result. I am disappointed myself not to get three points as you need to win at home. We have just got to go on and we have got four games left, so we have got to put in the effort and try to get as many points as possible. The goal you conceded… Do you think it was due to a defensive error?I would say it was a sloppy goal but it happens and you dust yourself up and start again. Possession-wise we controlled it a lot and in the second half we pushed and pushed, and they were also very resilient after losing four games in a row. They have also worked as hard as possible not to lose again and we pushed and pushed and got a reward but it is disappointing and we have just got to move on.Lastly, are you happy with your own performance?I am happy to get the goals but I would prefer the three points any day but it’s nice. I have got five now, so just have got to continue and I have four games left to push.
