Cedric Hengbart guided Kerala Blasters FC’s backline to their third clean sheet of Hero Indian Super League 2016 as their match against defending champions Chennaiyin FC ended in a 0-0 draw at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Saturday. The French centre-back made two interceptions, four clearances and had a passing accuracy of 84% over the course of the 90 minutes. Hengbart, who was also Hero of the Match for his solid performance, spoke to indiansuperleague.com after the match and shared his thoughts on the goalless draw. Here are the excerpts from the interview.Tough match today, plenty of intensity in the game. Was 0-0 a fair result in the end?It was very difficult today again, there was a good striker up against us just like in Goa. We have conceded only one goal in the last two games, so it’s very good and we must continue like this.Did you prepare in a different way for this derby? We prepared for this game just like any other game, I know a lot of people were waiting for this match and there is a lot of rivalry but the match is now finished and there is nothing between the two teams. Is it fair to say that you are the happier team, considering you got a tough away point?Yes, it’s a good point, we said at the beginning of the match that if we can’t win we must not lose and we did that. We had opportunities to score which we didn’t take, so we tried to continue. Now we will focus on the next match.
