Kerala Blasters FC will be hoping to register their first victory of 2019 when they travel to face Delhi Dynamos on Thursday. After a 1-1 draw against ATK, a victory will be the only thing on Kerala’s mind. Dheeraj Singh put in a good shift between the sticks against ATK and will be hoping for more of the same against Delhi.

Ahead of the match, the shot-stopper spoke to indiansuperleague.com and shared his thoughts about the encounter. Here are the excerpts:

Thoughts on the season so far.

It’s been a pleasure to be part of the Hero ISL this season with Kerala Blasters FC and it’s a really nice experience for me even though the results were not going our way. But it’s good experience having to deal with bad things and good things. It’s the kind of experience that helps us learn and grow up as a player, as human beings. It has not been a good season but we still have a lot to learn from this season.

Thoughts on playing under David James and Nelo Vingada.

It was always nice to have a person like him (David James) in the club who inspires us a lot. Having him in every training session, it was a big thing for me. It gives you a lot of motivation to work on the field. It was a great honour for me to have been with him in the last few months and now, we have a new coach (Nelo Vingada). It is very important for us, for an athlete, to adjust with different kinds of coaches and it’s been a pleasure to work with him. Everything is going good and we are looking for positive things with him.

What is the team looking forward to in the remaining matches?

Last part of the season, things were not going really great, results were not in our favour but we have a few matches left in our hands. It’s very important for us to prove what we are capable of and at the end of the day, it is important to get the result as well.

Thoughts on the match against Delhi Dynamos FC.

It’s not going to be easy, it’s going to be tough and we’ll have to fight, even Delhi Dynamos FC will give us a tough fight and we will give our best as well and it’s very important for us to get the confidence back.
