League leaders Bengaluru FC will square off against Mumbai City FC in another blockbuster clash in the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 on Sunday. The Blues have a three-point lead over the Islanders going into the match and will look to extend their lead at the top of the table with a win.

Bengaluru head coach Carles Cuadrat addressed the media at the pre-match press conference a day prior to the encounter. The Spaniard began by discussing his team's start to the season and the task at hand. "It’s a challenge. Bengaluru have been leading the league for some rounds and last season also, we were leading the league for a lot of games. I think all the teams see the game against us as a challenge. Its nice for football, because it puts the excitement into the game and makes it really interesting. I hope we can enjoy a really nice game," he said.

Bengaluru have undoubtedly been the most impressive team this season, but Cuadrat opined that there's still room to grow. "In football, you can always improve. In every aspect of your life, you can improve. I feel we are managing the rhythm of the game very well. We are reading what’s going on and we are doing a lot of things well. In defence, we are being really strong. I think we are also working well when it comes to how to attack against teams that are very good in defence. Behind the successful results, there is a lot of work, there is a very big plan," he said.

Cuadrat also had some encouraging words for Chencho Gyeltshen, whose late equaliser against NorthEast United FC in their last match helped Bengaluru secure a 1-1 draw. "Chencho is 22-years-old. He is a young boy and comes from the Hero I-league and is starting in the Hero Indian Super League. It puts you in a situation that you have never seen before. You have to manage these things. I think that was the reason behind him missing some chances in the past games because maybe you feel the pressure. But, with experience, with minutes, you become free to show what you have to offer. I think he was a good substitution in the last game. He scored a fantastic goal. He is a good professional. I think he can do very good things for the club in the future," the Spaniard stated.

The Blues boss also hinted that there might be no big changes to his starting XI for the Mumbai tie. "We are good. We are training well. The players are fit. You have seen that I have trusted some players who are giving a lot for the team. So, there won't be a very big rotation. We have everybody ready. Only Miku is not ready," he informed.
