Jamshedpur FC suffered a 2 – 0 defeat at the hands of Bengaluru FC in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18 at the Kalinga Stadium Bhubaneswar on Sunday. Goals from Miku and Sunil Chhetri secured the win for the away side, but Jamshedpur had a few good chances to score. The team remains fourth and are still very much in the race for a playoff spot. Their striker Izu Azuka was in the thick of things and even struck the crossbar in the second half. The Nigerian spoke to indiansuperleague.com post-match and shared his thoughts regarding the game. Here are the excerpts.

Talk us through the game.

It was a tough match. It was unfortunate we couldn’t take the three points.

Do you think playing away affected the team’s performance?

It’s tough to understand. It was tough luck and it was tough on us because we have been playing away games. So it’s just football and it happens.

What do you think of your performance?

As a player playing on the pitch, I can’t rate my performance. The coaches and those watching the match will do that, not me. I wouldn’t know how I performed and how my performance was in the game.

How is the team morale right now?

This is football, either you win or draw or lose. We just have to win the next game. That is all.

Any message for the fans?
