Jamshedpur FC edged Mumbai City FC 2 – 1 at the Mumbai Football Arena in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18 on Thursday. The three points catapults the league debutants to the top four and speaking to indiansuperleague.com post-match was Jairu himself. Here are excerpts from the interview.

What are your thoughts on the win?

To be very honest, this game was very important, and we had to take three points. We had won in Kolkata and now the matches are getting more important and now we’ll need to focus on the next games.

Can you take us through your goal?

The match seemed to be going for a draw at first, but we were playing hard and we kept trying. I scored, and it feels good now.

What are your thoughts on the fans who came to support?

To be honest, it was very important they came to support us in away games as well. The way they support us is amazing and keep supporting us throughout.
