Arindam Bhattacharya made his first appearance of Hero Indian Super League 2016 for FC Pune City in their 0-0 draw against Atlético de Kolkata at the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium in Kolkata on Friday. The Stallions goalkeeper kept a clean sheet and made four saves as well as three clearances. Pune bowed out of Hero ISL 2016 and finished sixth in the table with 16 points from 14 games. The 27-year-old spoke to indiansuperleague.com shortly after the final whistle and shared his thoughts on the game. Here are the excerpts from the interview. Are you happy with your performance tonight? When you don’t concede goals, you can always be happy with your performance as a goalkeeper. What do you think went wrong for Pune this year?We had a very good squad, so it is very disappointing that we didn’t qualify. We lost some important points in away matches, which was the turning point for us this season. What is your take on ATK’s challenge this season?ATK is a very good team, they have already qualified. I wish them luck since I’m from Kolkata. They are doing very well and since we are out, I hope ATK win. What is next for you?Don’t know yet. I don’t even know what is happening tomorrow, so I definitely have no idea about what the future holds. I just hope something good comes up.
