Rahul Bheke will be returning to his former club in FC Pune City colours as the Stallions play their penultimate game of Hero Indian Super League 2016’s league stage against Kerala Blasters FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Friday. Pune head into the contest in fourth position with 15 points from 12 games and know that a defeat at the hands of the Blasters will greatly dampen their semis hopes as well as knock them out of the top 4. Bheke made his debut with Kerala last season and has completed seven blocks, eight interceptions, 16 successful tackles and 18 clearances for Pune this year. The 25-year-old has also made his presence felt in attack, completing one successful take-on, an assist and two key passes so far. He spoke exclusively to indiansuperleague.com ahead of the clash against Kerala. Here are the excerpts from the interview.Firstly, you are level on points with Kerala Blasters having played one game more, so what are your thoughts on tomorrow’s game?Tomorrow’s game is going to be a tough one since we are at equal points. It’s a must-win for both the teams, so we’re going to do our best and get the three points.Last season you had a very nice season with Kerala Blasters and now you’re playing against them, so what are your thoughts on coming back and playing against your former team? It’s good to be back here. It’s going be an emotional game for me as I was with Kerala Blasters last year but now I’ve come here for a win and I’m going to help my team to win the game.A lot of back-to-back games have been played, so how are you keeping up your fitness?During this tough schedule when back-to-back matches are played, the amount of rest you take and your diet are two very important things. That’s what keeps every player fit to be able to play back-to-back games.
