Attacker Kwesi Appiah plays for NorthEast United and has not taken part in a great number of the side's Indian Super League games in 2020/2021, making eight appearances overall and accumulating 454 minutes of playing time. He has started in six of these appearances across their 22 fixtures and entered as a substitute on two occasions. Appiah last appeared in the competition on December 22 for NorthEast United versus Odisha. He scored in that match for his club in their 2-2 draw. In total, the attacker has scored three Indian Super League goals in 2020/2021. He opened his account for the Indian Super League campaign against Mumbai City on November 21, scoring during a 1-0 victory. Last season for AFC Wimbledon, Appiah made 19 League One appearances, scored four goals and provided one assist. Before moving to NorthEast United in October 2020, Appiah made 59 league appearances in total at AFC Wimbledon, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists.
