He represented The Residentionclub for a period of 8 seasons from 2004 to 2012, the highlight of his tenure there being the cub’s quarter-final spot of the 2004/05 KNVB Cup - a feat they had not surpassed in 11 previous seasons. Bowing out with 29 goals and 37 assists in 188 appearances, Verhoek transferred to FC Twente in 2012, but only managed 661 minutes in 18 matches before shifting again to Dutch giants Feyenoord Rotterdam in 2012/13. Thereafter he was mainly used as a substitute averaging 38 minutes a match for De Stadionclub. In 2015, he was loaned out to Dutch Second Division side Go Ahead Eagles where he has managed 2 goals in 17 appearances. Having spent his entire senior career in Dutch Football, a stint in the ISL will be a new experience for the Dutchman.
