Bio
João Coimbra began his footballing education in the youth system of Benfica. The Portuguese midfielder then plied his trade for Nacional, Gil Vicente, G. D. Estroil, Académico Viseu and Rapid Bucure?ti after being sold by Benfica at the end of the 2007-08 campaign. He played a key part in G. D. Estroil’s promotion push in 2012 and has made several appearances for Romanian side Rapid Bucure?ti. A seasoned campaigner, Coimbra has earned caps for Portugal in the under-20 as well as the under-21 levels and will definitely add creativity to the Kerala Blasters FC midfield heading into Season 2 of the Hero-Indian Super League.
