Bio
James Bailey made his debut with Crewe as a right back at the age of 19. After a brief spell at Crewe, the tall midfielder completed a move to Derby County in 2010. At Derby, then manager Nigel Clough moved him to the defensive midfield position alongside Robbie Savage. He scored his first goal for Derby in 2-2 draw with QPR, a performance that earned him a place in the Championship Team of the Week for August. He played every minute of the first 18 games of Derby’s season and picked up the Sammy Crooks Young Player-of the-Year award in his very first season . After 59 games with Derby and two loan spells with Coventry, the versatile Bailey moved to Barnsley before eventually assenting to participate in the Season 2 of the Hero Indian Super League.
