Silas comes to NorthEast United with loads of experience, having played in Portugal, Spain, England and Cyprus. He briefly had the chance to work under an young Jose Mourinho during his brief stay at Uniao Leira. In 2003, Silas made his debut for Portugal against Macedonia and later played against Paraguay and Bolivia. The midfielder played a solitary season of Barclays Premier League with Wolverhampton in 2003-04. He won the Cyprus 1 Division with AEL Limessol in 2011-12. His wealth of experience will be a welcome addition to a young NorthEast United FC team.
