N P Pradeep is a Team India veteran who was an integral part of the set-up for many years since his debut in the 2005 SAFF Cup in Pakistan, which India won. A highly technical player, Pradeep has excelled as an attacking midfielder, famous for his long range shots and penchant for scoring goals. He can also play in the defence. Pradeep began his career at State Bank of Travancore in Kerala, having already represented the state at the junior levels and also the India under-20 team. Pradeep stayed at SBT for four seasons leading them to four Kerala League titles. He then tasted greater success with Mahindra United where he reached the peak of his prowess, winning the NFL, Durand Cup and IFA Shield. Subsequent transfers to Viva Kerala, Mohun Bagan and Mumbai Tigers were not that productive though he signed on loan for Mumbai FC and helped them stave off relegation.
