Raj Mahato joined Jamshedpur FC’s academy in 2018 after playing for SAIL Bokaro’s U-16 side. Mahato played for Jamshedpur FC’s reserve side in the Hero I-League second division as well as the Durand Cup before being promoted to the senior team ahead of Hero ISL 2020-21.
