Bio
The 35-year-old custodian has played his professional football in Spain, Italy, Azerbaijan and Finland. The Spanish, who is 6-feet tall, spent almost a decade at Betis, first with the B team and then the senior team with whom he won the prestigious Copa Del Rey in 2005. Additionally, he played a crucial part in guaranteeing Betis a berth in the 2006 UEFA Champions League, their first appearance. He kept two clean sheets in five Champions League matches, one of which came against defending champions Liverpool.
After stints with clubs like Xerez, Real Zaragoza, Huesca, and Xazar Lankaran, he signed for Rafael Benitez’s Napoli in 2014 and success in the Coppa Italia by beating Fiorentina in the final. He kept three clean sheets for the Dynamos in 12 appearances last season and will be looking to better his tally in Hero ISL 2016.
