Wellington Phoenix attacker Gary Hooper has taken part in the majority of their A-League Men games in 2021/2022, making 14 appearances overall and playing 705 minutes. He has been selected in the starting XI in eight of these appearances across their 27 fixtures and come on as a substitute on six occasions. The last A-League Men appearance that Hooper made came on May 14 for Wellington Phoenix against Western United; a game that he played 54 minutes in during a 1-0 defeat. In total, he has notched four A-League Men goals this term, and registered two assists. He has been booked once. It was against Brisbane Roar on March 12 when Hooper last scored, netting in a 2-1 defeat. His opening goal of the campaign came in the 1-1 draw against Macarthur on November 21.
