Nurtured in the academy of four-time Uruguayan Primera Division champions Defensor Sporting, 25-year-old Sasha Aneff is a clinical striker from Uruguay with an eye for goal. Strong in the air and blessed with a poacher's instinct in the opposition penalty area, Aneff had short stints with Uruguayan outfit Racing Club de Montevideo and Bulgarian side Botev Vratsa after making his debut with Defensor Sporting. He has also plied his trade in Slovenia, Croatia and Sweden with NK Domzale, NK Osijek and Syrianska FC respectively. Aneff has also represented Uruguay at the under-20 level and will get his first taste of football in Asia with NorthEast United FC.
