Bio
Yendrick Ruiz, a native of Costa Rica started his club career with Alajuelense in 2008/09 his participation in the ISL represents the first time that he is playing senior football outside his native Costa Rica. The highlight of his time at Alajuelense was his participation in the CONCACAF Champions League against Islanders (of Puerto Rico). Thereafter he shifted to Brujas FC for a solitary season followed by a more permanent shift to Puntarenas in the 2011/12 season. At the Naranjas he scored 13 goals and 3 assists in 36 matches. In 2012/13 he shifted to CS Herediano and has been a consistent performer for Los Florenses. It was during this season that he assisted Los Florenses to their best performance in the CONCACAF Champions League – a semi-final place losing out to eventual Champions CF America from Mexico. In 2013 Ruiz also made his debut for the national team in a friendly against Canada and has now appeared for them in 5 matches.
