Bio
Dimitar Berbatov is a Bulgarian striker who started his youth career with OFC Pirin Blagoevgrad and CSKA Sofia back in Bulgaria. The 36-year-old started his senior career with CSK Sofia, scoring 26 goals for them before signing for Bayern Leverkusen in 2001. In 2006, he moved to England with Tottenham Hotspur FC and became the most expensive Bulgarian footballer ever. After two seasons with Spurs, he signed for Manchester United in 2008. He scored 48 goals in 108 appearances for the team and won the league with them twice. In 2012, he signed up with Fulham, scoring 19 goals for them before moving to France with AS Monaco in 2014. Berbatov then moved to PAOK in Greece the following year and has also represented Bulgaria’s U-18, U-21 and senior squads.
