Bio
The Scottish-born Canadian international striker progressed through the youth ranks at Tranmere Rovers and moved to the senior setup. His best season for Tranmere was during the 2004-05 campaign where he finished top scorer with 16 goals. He then made an expensive move to Leicester City and reaped great success there followed by another pricey switch to Barnsley. On the international front, he dazzled at the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship in Argentina and made his senior debut for Canada in a February 2003 friendly against Libya. Hume is perhaps best known for coming back to professional football after suffering a life-threatening skull fracture - perhaps one of the best comeback stories in sports.
Hume was instrumental in getting Kerala Blasters FC to the final of the inaugural Hero ISL 2014 with five goals and three assists and was rightly chosen the Hero of the League. He moved to ATK the following season and scored 11 goals for them, including two hat-tricks. The striker was an integral part of ATK's title-winning campaign in Hero ISL 2016 and pitched in with 7 goals. He went back to Kerala for Hero ISL 2017-18 and despite injury issues, managed to score 5 times in 13 matches. In Hume, FC Pune City will have one of the most accomplished goal scorers and creators in Hero ISL history in their ranks.
