The Shillong-born defender started his acareer at Royal Wahingdoh and has been a part of the Indian national junior teams from the U-14 to U-20 levels. Shabong impressed with Indian Arrows in the 2019-20 I-League season and was signed by ATK Mohun Bagan in 2020. He has been with the Mariners since.
