Defender Abhishek Ambekar plays for Sudeva Moonlight and has taken part in a strong number of the team's I-League games in 2020/2021, making seven appearances overall and playing 458 minutes. He has been selected in the starting XI in four of these appearances across their 14 fixtures and come on as a substitute on three occasions. The last I-League game that Ambekar played came on March 16 for Sudeva Moonlight versus NEROCA; a game that he played 90 minutes in during a 1-0 victory. In last season's Indian Super League, Ambekar featured in four games for East Bengal. Ambekar linked up with Sudeva Moonlight in January 2021 from East Bengal, for whom he made 14 league appearances in total.
