Anderson Sebastiao Cardoso
Defender
Bio
A central defender hailing from the same city that produced other footballers like Talles Cunha & Luizinho, Anderson Sebastiao Cardoso (Chicao) is a big presence at the back for the Dynamos.
The 34-year-old central defender has played for big Brazilian clubs like Flamengo and Corinthians. He started his professional career with Mogi Mirim before joining top-division side Figueirense FC three years later in 2006. He went on to play for Flamengo and Corinthians. It’s at Corinthians where his thirst for big trophies got satiated with victories in the FIFA Club World Cup (2012) over UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea along with the Copa Libertadores (2012) and Copa do Brasil (2009).
With 25 goals from 185 appearances, Chicao represents a real threat for opposition defenders, something that no doubt appealed to the Dynamos when choosing him.
