Having begun his career in the youth ranks of Ferroviária in Brazil, Alan Costa went on to have stints at Palmeiras, Internacional and Coritiba and loan spells at Sao Bento and Vitoria before joining Campeonato Brasileiro Série B side Avaí Futebol Clube in 2020. 2018-19 Hero ISL champions Bengaluru FC are the defender’s first club out of Brazil. The Araraquara native, who is six feet and four inches tall, signed on a two-year loan deal with the Blues in July 2021 after winning the Campeonato Catarinense State Championship with Avaí in May 2021.
