The veteran Manipuri defender started his football journey during his school days. His breakthrough came with second division side Green Valley FC and Assam State Electricity Board in 2004. His performances grabbed the attention of Goan giants Churchill Brothers who snapped up the impressive youngster. Over the years, the versatile defender has represented seven different clubs in the premier division. Meetei is adept at playing as central defender, left back and also as defensive midfielder.
