Hyderabad FC have announced the acquisition of former FC Goa striker, Liston Colaco. The 21-year-old made his Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) debut with the Gaurs in the 2017-18 season and has featured in eight Hero ISL matches since, mainly from the bench.

The youngster first rose to prominence after emerging as the top scorer in the Goa Professional League in the 2016-17 season. His goals helped Salgaocar FC win the title and prompted the Gaurs to sign him up. Impressed by his showing for the reserves, for whom he scored three goals in eight appearances, FC Goa called him up to their senior side.

His move to Hyderabad comes as a fresh challenge for the youngster, who’ll be eager to impress the coaches and fans. With Albert Roca due to take full charge of the squad from next season and playing an advisory role for the remainder of the ongoing campaign, it’ll also be a huge opportunity for the young forward to hone his craft under the guidance of the former FC Barcelona assistant coach.

Hyderabad still have six games remaining this season and Colaco will be looking to play a part in those to help the Hero ISL newcomers finish their campaign on a positive note.
