Indian Super League (ISL) side Mumbai City FC on Monday confirmed the departure of midfielder Alberto Noguera, whose contract expires on Friday, May 31. The Spaniard bids farewell to the club after two successful seasons with the Islanders, winning two trophies.

Noguera joined the club in July 2022 on a free transfer and proved instrumental in the team's triumph in the 2022-23 season, clinching the League Winners’ Shield during a record-breaking 18-game unbeaten streak to secure the league title. The Spaniard featured in 20 ISL games for the Islanders, contributing four goals and an assist.

Having extended his contract for another year before the start of the 2023-24 season, Noguera provided crucial goals and assists, culminating in lifting the 2023-24 ISL Cup. He made 13 appearances for the team while scoring a goal and providing two assists - one of which came during the ISL final.

With 47 appearances across all competitions and 11 goal contributions, Noguera helped the team win the ISL League Winners’ Shield and the ISL Cup during his two-year stay.
