Khalid Jamil has named his 23-member squad for the CAFA Nations Cup, as India prepare to usher in a new era under his leadership starting August 29. The Blue Tigers will travel to Tajikistan to compete in the CAFA Nations Cup, where they have been drawn in Group B alongside hosts Tajikistan, defending champions IR Iran, and Afghanistan.

The tournament format will see the top two teams from each group progress to the play-offs, scheduled for September 8. The group runners-up will contest the third-place match in Dushanbe, while the winners will meet in the final in Tashkent.

Ahead of the campaign, Jamil has announced his final squad, marking his first assignment since taking charge of the national team. The competition not only provides India with an early test under their new coach but also an opportunity to measure themselves against strong opposition.
