Sergio Contreras Pardo, better known as Koke, has been in superb form in the first few fixtures of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) for NorthEast United FC. On Friday, he bagged a brilliant assist which helped his team end up on the winning side. The former Málaga product spoke exclusively to indiansuperleague.com after the game. Excerpts: Coming to Mumbai and getting three points is a big result. How do you feel about it?Yeah, we needed to get a good result in our first away game and we won. So everyone is proud of us. We must continue this form in Delhi.Mumbai really dominated the first half. Was it a plan to sit back and absorb the pressure today?I think they really pushed in the first half and tried really hard to score but I think we did well to keep the score goalless. We tried hard in the second half and got the goal and it’s the most important thing in football to score the goal. The hosts seemed to have lost confidence when that first goal was conceded. So how important do you think is the first goal?I think it’s the most important thing in football - to get the first goal. After that, we knew what to do. We had that extra confidence from th goal and that’s how we got the second. Is it more important to win at home or away?I think it’s important to win away from home because it’s not the same as winning at home. For us, it was imperative that we got the points and take this into the next game. What did you think about Miguel Garcia’s performance today?I’ve played with him in the past in Portugal so I know that he is a great player. It’s no surprise to me that he put in a good performance and we’re very lucky to have him in the team.
