Chennaiyin FC will be in a confident mood ahead of their Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18 fixture against ATK at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Thursday. Chennai’s skipper Henrique Sereno bagged three crucial away points with a fine header against FC Pune City last time around and will be looking to extend his side’s winning run against his former team ATK. Sereno shared his thoughts on the game while speaking exclusively to indiansuperleague.com ahead of the clash. Here are the excerpts from the interview.

A hard fought away win in the last game – what are your thoughts on that?

It was a good game. But we must think of the next game against ATK, which will not be easy. Our focus is on ATK.

About the next game against ATK, you won the league with them last year, how will it feel to play against them?

Yeah, it’s different. I’m excited because I’ll meet my old friends over there. For me, it’s just another game against a good opponent. They have a very good team but aren’t showing that (at the moment), but they’re going to do well for sure.

How do you rate your team’s chances against ATK?

Of course, every match is different. They are a very good team, but we will try to get the three points.

Chennaiyin have developed a rivalry with ATK – what are your thoughts on that?

For me and for all the players, every match is the same. We must give our best and win every game.

Any message to the fans?

Of course, come in to the stadium and support us because without your support it’s a lot more difficult.
