ISL Fantasy: Best XI for Matchweek 20
Our squad features a triple-up of players from Mohun Bagan SG, Bengaluru FC and Odisha FC, with just eight teams in action.

With just six Matchweeks remaining, Matchweek 20 presents a major challenge for Indian Super League (ISL) Fantasy managers as several teams are set to blank. Only four matches will be played, with just eight teams in action. Notably, Hyderabad FC, Kerala Blasters FC, East Bengal FC, Mumbai City FC, and Chennaiyin FC will all miss out.
Despite the reduced fixtures, there are some exciting matchups on paper. Bengaluru FC and Punjab FC face off in a crucial clash as they look to revive their playoff hopes, while Mohammedan Sporting Club hosts Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the highly anticipated Kolkata Derby. Elsewhere, Jamshedpur FC and FC Goa — both in contention for the Shield, battle it out at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, and the Matchweek concludes with Odisha FC taking on NorthEast United FC in a fixture featuring two of the league’s most attack-minded sides.

Fantasy managers struggling to field a full eleven might consider using the Free Hit Chip if available. If not, taking a few hits for long-term picks could be a viable strategy.

That said, here’s our handpicked Fantasy squad for the week.
Goalkeepers
Vishal Kaith (Mohun Bagan SG) - 6.2 CR
Kaith is the highest-scoring keeper this season with 90 points, 17 points more than second-placed Sandhu. He has kept 10 clean sheets, more than any other keeper and will back himself to secure another one when he faces Mohammedan SC, who have scored the fewest goals this season.
Defenders
Rahul Bheke (Bengaluru FC) - 4.8 CR
Bheke features in the top 10 list of highest-scoring defenders in ISL Fantasy and is just a point away from reaching 100 points. He couldn't keep a clean sheet in the previous game against Mohun Bagan SG but still ended up with six points, thanks to four points for completing 60 passes. While a clean sheet against Punjab FC away from home isn’t guaranteed, his goal threat and ability to rack up points from passes and interceptions make him a strong pick for this week.
Subhasish Bose (Mohun Bagan SG) - 5.0 CR - Vice-captain
Bose remains the top-scoring player in the game and is a no-brainer for your team. He is the highest-owned player in the Mohun Bagan SG squad and has been consistently delivering points. He faces a Mohammedan SC side away from home, but their goal-scoring struggles have been evident, giving Bose another chance to build on his points tally.
Alberto Rodriguez (Mohun Bagan SG) - 5.5 CR
Rodriguez completes our Mohun Bagan SG triple-up and is the second-highest scorer in the game after Bose. He has been the leader at the heart of their defense, with four goals to his name this season. Facing a goal-shy Mohammedan SC side, the Spaniard could deliver handsomely if his side keeps another clean sheet.
Midfielders
Javi Hernandez (Jamshedpur FC) - 9.6 CR
Hernandez is in red-hot form, and that cannot be ignored. Since Matchweek 16, he has contributed three goals and an assist, racking up 37 points in his last four games. He faces FC Goa, a tough fixture on paper, but has proven to be fixture-proof and has a good record at Jamshedpur FC’s home ground.
Jerry Mawihmingthanga (Odisha FC) - 6.6 CR
Another player in fine form is Odisha FC's Jerry Mawihmingthanga. He has recorded four goals in his last five matches for the Kalinga Warriors, accumulating 31 points over this period. He faces a Punjab FC side that has been leaking goals, with the Shers failing to keep a clean sheet in their last seven games.
Brison Fernandes (FC Goa) - 4.8 CR
Fernandes has also been on a red-hot streak and is FC Goa’s second-highest scoring midfielder in the game. He has six goals this season, five of them coming in his last six games. He has amassed 50 points in his last five games, which is a stunning tally. Despite a tough fixture away to Jamshedpur FC, Fernandes’ form makes him unavoidable.
Alberto Noguera (Bengaluru FC) - 9.0 CR
Noguera comes at a hefty price, but his ability to score goals and create chances makes him an explosive differential pick. He has produced 32 points in his last five matches despite recording just one goal and an assist, showing his ability to rack up points beyond his attacking contributions. Noguera ran the show in midfield against Mohun Bagan SG and will be expected to do the same against a struggling Punjab FC side.
Forwards
Alaaeddine Ajaraie (NorthEast United FC) - 8.4 CR - Captain
Ajaraie is the highest-scoring forward in ISL Fantasy and is the third-highest points scorer overall. He is having a sensational season, with 16 goals and five assists from 18 games, and is leading the Golden Boot race. Ajaraie faces an Odisha FC side whose defense has been leaky, and he will fancy his chances again, having scored a brace in the reverse fixture.
Sunil Chhetri (Bengaluru FC) - 7.5 CR
Chhetri is only behind Ajaraie in the list of highest-scoring forwards in ISL Fantasy this season. He has been Bengaluru FC’s key player, netting 11 goals across 18 games. Chhetri was unfortunate to blank against Mohun Bagan SG in their previous game but had scored in back-to-back matches before that. Facing a Punjab FC side that has also struggled to keep clean sheets lately, Chhetri is a hot pick for this Matchweek.
Diego Mauricio (Odisha FC) - 9.1 CR
Mauricio is Odisha FC’s top scorer this season with nine goals and has accumulated 75 points in ISL Fantasy. He scored a brace in their previous game against Bengaluru FC, converting twice from the penalty spot, which saw him produce a double-digit score of 10 points. His minutes have been managed in recent games, with Doreilton Nascimento also pushing for a start in the same position. However, Mauricio’s goal threat and penalty duties make him a strong choice if you need a forward.
Substitutes
Albino Gomes (Jamshedpur FC) - 4.5 CR
Gomes has racked up the highest number of saves this season. He ranks third among goalkeepers with the most points and has performed exceptionally well given his modest price tag. With a fixture against FC Goa, Gomes will be expected to produce key saves and potentially keep a clean sheet as his side looks to close the gap with league leaders Mohun Bagan SG.
Pulga Vidal (Punjab FC) - 8.1 CR
Vidal came off the bench against Jamshedpur FC and scored a fine goal from outside the box. He was at the heart of Punjab FC’s attacking moves even as they struggled to find more goals in that game. The Argentinian has more points than any Punjab FC midfielder, and his tally of five goals is just one short of their top scorer, Luka Majcen. With Odisha FC struggling defensively, keeping just three clean sheets in 17 games, Vidal will likely pose a threat and could be heavily involved if Punjab FC scores.
Nikhil Prabhu (Punjab FC) - 5.2 CR
Prabhu is Punjab FC’s top scorer this season and has recorded more interceptions than any other player in the league. Although Punjab FC has struggled to keep clean sheets in their last seven games, Prabhu has racked up decent points thanks to his defensive contributions. He will be expected to play a crucial role if Punjab FC are to beat Bengaluru FC and revive their playoff hopes.
Mourtada Fall (Odisha FC) - 5.9 CR
Fall is Odisha FC’s top-scoring defender this season and is a solid pick if you're considering selecting a third Odisha FC player for the upcoming Matchweek. Despite Odisha FC keeping just three clean sheets this season, Fall has found ways to contribute offensively and add to his points tally, scoring four goals and providing an assist.
