Delhi Dynamos FC will be looking to make it back-to-back wins when they take on Mumbai City FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday. The Lions have gone on a good run after being dumped out contention for the playoffs and are undefeated in their last four games. Rowilson Rodrigues, who has made eight appearances for the Dynamos this season, spoke to indiansuperleague.com ahead of their clash Mumbai. Here are the excerpts.

You played in the Hero ISL for the first two seasons. So, what’s it like to be back with Delhi this year?

It was very difficult for me to comeback, because I didn’t get any ISL franchise (after the first two years), so it was a tough job for me. I just took the risk and played for Churchill Brothers and from there I was lucky to be picked by Delhi Dynamos. The chances I have got I have tried to prove myself.

New season, new club. How has it been so far with the Delhi Dynamos?

It was really tough for me. But ups and downs happen; football is such a career. It is a part of football.

Kalu Uche has been unstoppable this season. What do you think of him and his form and the way he is leading from the front?

It is good that Kalu is scoring and we are back in the winning mindset. He is a team man who encourages everyone. With his support, we can do many things on the ground.

There are a couple of young Indian prospects in your team like Vinit Rai. How much of a chance do they have to make it big in India?

They are quite young, and their career starts now. They are playing really well, and the only thing is they have to stay focused and keep on working hard.

Delhi have been in great form having been unbeaten in the last four games. After the 4-3 win against ATK, how is the morale of the team right now?

It is always the best moment when the team wins, more when you are two goals down, to fight back and win. It was the best highlight for us as a team.

Delhi are facing Mumbai City FC next. Last time it was 4-0. Is there a feeling revenge in the team and what are your thoughts on the game?

Yes, obviously it is revenge. Every match is a challenge. We try to win every match and tomorrow it will be a tough match because they are also looking to qualify for the semi-finals. But we are fighting to win.
