The Nigerian finishes the season with an impressive tally of 14 goals and post the patch, he spoke to indiansuperleague.com and shared his thoughts. Here are the excerpts.

Your thoughts on scoring again tonight?

Honestly, I feel good about the performance of the team. From the last 5-6 games, something is great you know. So I feel very happy and I want to use this opportunity to congratulate my colleagues for the hard work. Unfortunately, we are not going to play the semi-finals but the boys showed that this team can do something good and people can always count on this team. Also, I want to use this opportunity to thank the fans. They have been outstanding since the start of the season and they have been supporting us since day one. I want to say thank you to them.

What are the positives from the season?

Right from the first day of the season, the team has played good football. In these last five games, the team started understanding each other very well. That’s where we’ve had a lot of changes. From the previous games to the last few games, we started creating chances and scoring goals. In the beginning, we weren’t creating chances. But if you see the last five games, you will see a lot of chances and a lot of goals scored. So, we will keep going day by day.

Can the team carry this momentum into the Super Cup?

Like I said before, there’s a lot of improvement in the team and we believe and hope to continue like this. We will keep working hard day by day to get to our goal. Our goal is to keep growing, do good things and satisfy our fans because they deserve it.
