ATK have announced the signing of Cameroonian defender Andre Bikey for the upcoming season of the Hero Indian Super League. The 33-year-old joins the two-time champions after previous stints with NorthEast United FC and Jamshedpur.

Bikey was first introduced to Indian football upon joining NorthEast United FC in 2015. He made nine appearances, scoring one goal and adding 52 clearances and 11 interceptions to his name to help them finish fifth on the table with 20 points.

In 2017, Jamshedpur brought the Cameroonian back to India to play in the Hero ISL and Bikey showed his mettle and consistency once again, as he helped them finish their debut season on a high. They conceded only 18 goals last season, which was the second-best defensive performance after Bengaluru FC. He made 11 interceptions and 60 clearances last season, having featured 15 times for the club.

With John Johnson and Gerson Vieira already in the bag, ATK look to have bolstered their backline further by bringing Bikey in. Steve Coppell will team up with Bikey for the third time after having worked with him at Reading and Jamshedpur FC previously.
