Two-time champions ATK crashed to their sixth defeat of Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18 when Trindade Goncalves’ second-half penalty succumbed them to a 1 – 0 setback against Jamshedpur FC at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata on Sunday. The loss further dents ATK’s hopes of making the top four. The hosts had their fair share of chances in the game with striker Robin Singh on the end of a few. The 27-year-old spoke to indiansuperleague.com post the match and shared his thoughts regarding the same. Here are the excerpts from the short interview.

What are your thoughts on the game?

Firstly, to begin with, we should have scored. We needed the result for sure and hopefully, if we just keep digging and fighting, they will come. The points will come and the goals will come.

What was the talk in the dressing room at the break?

To just keep doing what we were doing and get those balls in the net. Unfortunately, we couldn’t do that today.

Talk us through that moment where you almost equalised for your team.

I don’t know whether it was in the end or not, but yes, we could have and I should have. Maybe next time.

What is the mood in the camp?

As I said, we need to keep going and keep working hard.

How important are the upcoming matches?

Everything is a must-win for us in this situation and at this moment. Hopefully, we get the wins in the next games.
