Jamshedpur FC have completed their quota of foreigners with the signing of Mario Arques Blasco. The Spanish midfielder is a Villarreal CF academy product with over seven years of experience in Spain. The 26-year-old previously played for CD Alcoyano and had stints at Valencia and Sporting de Gijon’s B-teams.

On signing with Jamshedpur FC, the midfielder said, “It’s amazing to sign with a club of Jamshedpur FC’s stature. Indian Super League is one of the biggest league’s in Asia and it’s an honour to be playing there. I am very happy to start training with my teammates and enjoy my time here. I want to play here with my heart and passion. I hope to do my best.”

Chief Executive Officer, Mukul Choudhari added “I am delighted to welcome Mario into the squad. His experience will be valuable for our midfield. I am excited to see him pair up with Memo and add more solidity to our defense line. On behalf of the Tata Group, I welcome Mario to Jamshedpur.”

Head Coach, Cesar Ferrando said, “I like Mario’s attributes as a player. He will fit very well into the system and will be an asset to the squad. I am glad he has decided to join us and I am looking forward to working with him.”

Mario has joined the squad for pre-season training in Madrid as the club continues to prepare for the Hero Indian Super League 2018-19 season.
