A product of English club Tottenham Hotspur FC’s youth academy, Cy Goddard represented the club at the U-18, U-21 and U-23 levels before leaving in 2017. A move to Italy followed for Goddard where he signed for Serie B side Benevento Calcio on a three-year deal in 2018. In search of more playing time, the attacking midfielder moved to Cypriot club Pafos FC on loan for the 2019-20 season. Goddard, who has played for Japan’s youth teams, joined Mumbai City FC on loan ahead of the 2020-21 Hero ISL season and assisted three goals and scored one in 19 appearances.
