Lalhrezuala Sailung was born in Mizoram and was part of Odisha FC’s academy. During the 2019-20 season, the midfielder was promoted to the first team. Subsequently, he made his Hero Indian Super League debut on February 17, 2021 against FC Goa. Lalhrezuala's first Hero ISL goal cam in a 6-5 win over SC East Bengal.
