Mahesh Naorem, the East Bengal FC midfielder, has played in the vast majority of the club's Indian Super League games in 2024/2025, making 20 appearances overall and playing 1,286 minutes. He has been selected in the starting XI in 16 of these appearances across their 24 fixtures and entered as a substitute on four occasions. Naorem last appeared in a league game on March 2, playing 90 minutes for East Bengal FC against Bengaluru FC in a 1-1 draw. In total, he has notched two Indian Super League goals in 2024/2025, and chipped in with one assist. He has been shown a yellow card twice, as well as sent off once. It was against Punjab FC on February 22 when Naorem last scored, netting in a 3-1 win. His opening goal of the campaign came in the 3-1 victory against Mohammedan on February 16. Naorem played 21 Indian Super League games last season for East Bengal FC, scored four goals and provided two assists. Naorem linked up with East Bengal FC on loan in August 2021 from Kerala Blasters FC, for whom he made zero league appearances. He switched to East Bengal FC on a permanent basis in August 2022.
