Bio
Selim Benachour was born in Paris, France, but grew up to play football for Tunisia. Starting his career at Paris St. Germain in 2001, he spent a fruitful four years at the Parisian club before moving to Portuguese side, Vitoria Guimaraes. Following this, Rubin Kazan came calling where he managed to play 18 matches, scoring twice. In 2012, he made the transfer to Cypriot side APOEL Nicosia, immediately landing silverware in his first season by winning the Cypriot First Division. Further honours followed with the Cypriot Cup and Cypriot Super Cup.
He also managed to represent his nation 44 times scoring twice. Most notably, he has participated in the 2002 World Cup and won the African Cup of Nations (2004). A stylish player blessed with vision, Benachour will lend the Mumbai midfield a cutting edge in opening up the opposition.
