Liston Colaco made a name for himself after finishing as the top scorer in the 2016-17 Goa Professional League. He was promptly snapped up by FC Goa and after impressing with the reserves, the striker was called up to the Gaurs’ senior team. He made his Hero ISL debut for the Gaurs in the 2017-18 campaign, and in all made four appearances off the bench in his debut season. His involvement in the 2018-19 campaign was even more limited as he managed just one substitute appearance for FC Goa. Colaco was with FC Goa for the first half of the 2019-20 season before securing a move to Hyderabad FC, for whom he found the net twice before the end of the campaign. He was a regular starter for Hyderabad FC during the 2020-21 season as they finished fifth on the points table. He went on to make his India debut later in the year. His exploits and promise made ATK Mohun Bagan sign him for a record fee for an Indian player in April 2021.
